Welcome to annakatharina.photo—where not only are images sharpened, but your data is also protected. As a photographer, I know how valuable perspective is—and when it comes to data protection, I take your perspective very seriously.

This policy explains what data I collect when you visit, why I do it, and what doesn’t happen (spoiler: no runaway tracking pixels or shady third parties).

2. Personal Data – Focus on the Essentials

I process personal data only if you actively provide it to me—for example, via email, a contact form, or by reaching out through other channels. I use this data exclusively to handle your inquiry—and certainly not for newsletter spam or anything like that.

3. Cookies – Delicious, but Used Sparingly

My website uses only technically necessary cookies .
These are essential for you to use the site at all—like autofocus on a good portrait.

Cookies for advertising, personalized content, or third-party tracking? Not my style.

4. Web Analytics with Matomo – Clicks with Style

To improve my website, I use Matomo —a privacy-friendly open-source analytics platform.
Here’s how it works:

  • The data is stored anonymously (e.g., IP addresses are truncated).
  • No data is shared with third parties.
  • The data remains on my own server in the EU (more specifically: Austria, where Kaiserschmarrn comes from).
  • There is no user profiling, no cross-site tracking mechanisms, and no connection to Google, Meta, or similar companies.
