1. Introduction – Data Protection with Depth of Field
Welcome to annakatharina.photo—where not only are images sharpened, but your data is also protected. As a photographer, I know how valuable perspective is—and when it comes to data protection, I take your perspective very seriously.
This policy explains what data I collect when you visit, why I do it, and what doesn’t happen (spoiler: no runaway tracking pixels or shady third parties).
2. Personal Data – Focus on the Essentials
I process personal data only if you actively provide it to me—for example, via email, a contact form, or by reaching out through other channels. I use this data exclusively to handle your inquiry—and certainly not for newsletter spam or anything like that.
3. Cookies – Delicious, but Used Sparingly
My website uses only technically necessary cookies
.
These are essential for you to use the site at all—like autofocus on a good portrait.
Cookies for advertising, personalized content, or third-party tracking? Not my style.
4. Web Analytics with Matomo – Clicks with Style
To improve my website, I use Matomo
—a privacy-friendly open-source analytics platform.
Here’s how it works:
- The data is stored anonymously (e.g., IP addresses are truncated).
- No data is shared with third parties.
- The data remains on my own server in the EU (more specifically: Austria, where Kaiserschmarrn comes from).
- There is no user profiling, no cross-site tracking mechanisms, and no connection to Google, Meta, or similar companies.
You can still opt out of tracking—by clicking the corresponding button in the cookie banner or here:
[Insert Matomo opt-out iFrame or link]
5. Your Rights – Full Control, No Hidden Agendas
You have the right to:
- Access to your stored data
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restriction of processing
- Data portability
- Withdrawal of consent
- Filing a complaint with the data protection authority (www.dsb.gv.at)
6. Security – Data Protection Covered in Detail
I take technical and organizational measures to protect your data. These include:
- SSL encryption
- Access restrictions
- No unnecessary third-party providers
7. Changes – Keeping Everything in Focus
Should anything change regarding my data processing (e.g., due to new tools or services), this Privacy Policy will be updated.
You can always find the current version here on the website—no Zoom required.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Data protection isn’t just an obligation for me—it’s a principle—just like good lighting: not too much, not too little—just right. 📷
